Kaemmer admits he’s not a huge fan of Pablo Picasso (1881–1973). “How many anguished, tormented women can you paint?” he asks. “Hundreds, apparently.
Alberto Giacometti (1877–1966) “is also a sculptor,” says Kaemmer, “so he’s very aware of form. Yet his drawings show no form.” Like Kaemmer, Giacometti continuously reworked his art.
