Once again, helveticka has teamed up with the city of Greeley, Colorado – this time for the community’s 2015 Greeley Unexpected image campaign. Now in its fourth year, the ongoing campaign seeks to challenge common misperceptions about Greeley, one of the major cities along the Front Range Urban Corridor. And just as the creative team was putting the finishing touches on various billboards, Denver International Airport signage, and 15-second television commercials, the city received word that last year’s effort won the prestigious 2015 Thomas H. Muehlenbeck Award for Excellence in Local Government. More than a hundred applicants were reviewed by a team of city and county managers from across the United States with the aim of recognizing local governments that have shown “dedication to stretching and improving the boundaries of day-to-day government operations and practices, implementing creative business processes, and improving the civic health of the community.” helveticka has provided creative services since the inaugural 2013 campaign, and is currently underway with Greeley Unexpected 2016.
