For the 2018 iteration of Greeley Unexpected, an award-winning multi-platform awareness campaign designed to promote the Colorado city, helveticka created a series of print ads, billboards, and Denver International Airport signage and banners, along with a pair of 15-second television spots. Subjects for the campaign – currently in its sixth and final year – included the city’s water (recently named the best-tasting in North America), the national award-winning and Grammy-nominated University of Northern Colorado jazz program, and Greeley’s maker culture. helveticka worked with the city’s communications team and Greeley-area photographer and videographer Stenbakken Media on the campaign assets, providing writing and design services, creative direction, production, and project management. Spokane firms Digital Itch and ILF Media assisted with post-production work on the television spots. While 2018 marks the conclusion of the “Greeley Unexpected” theme, the city and helveticka are currently developing concepts for a new multi-year awareness campaign.
