As one of Spokane’s oldest neighborhoods, Hillyard claims a proud heritage and colorful past tied to the railroad industry. This working-class neighborhood is home to a diverse yet often underserved community that’s committed to celebrating its uniqueness, connecting its residents, and revitalizing its economy.

In line with this commitment, the Hillyard Community Campus in Northeast Spokane is a shared space that serves all ages in the community – from young toddlers to senior adults. The 33-acre campus is home to Shaw Middle School, On Track Academy, NEWTech Skills Center, Hillyard Library, Northeast Community Center, and Spokane Public Schools facilities office. helveticka worked with Integrus Architecture to create signage and wayfinding for the campus that welcomes and guides community members and visitors throughout the space.
