The Streak Continues: Another Annual Report for Hecla

When AMD was founded back in 1988, one of the fledgling design firm’s first clients was Hecla Mining Company. Fast forward nearly 25 years, and the relationship is as strong as ever: shortly after completing a redesign of Hecla’s website, AMD’s team began work on the mining company’s 2011 annual report, which shipped to investors in March.

“We’ve had a longstanding relationship with Anderson Mraz,” explained Jeanne DuPont, Hecla’s corporate communications coordinator. “They’ve designed the last 24 annual reports for us – along with many, many other projects. I believe this longevity speaks for itself as to the quality of work they do.”

The report, which features the photography of Laszlo Bencze (Sacramento) and Jim Van Gundy (Spokane), reinforces Hecla’s position as the number-one silver producer in the U.S., and points to the company’s efforts toward an even more prosperous future.

“Despite some challenges, Hecla had an outstanding year in 2011,” said AMD principal and creative director CK Anderson. “So the book was designed and written to reflect the company’s performance, expertise, and long-term confidence.”

AMD’s team provided design, production, writing and editing, and project management services for the report.
