In a collaboration with Integrus Architecture and Gonzaga University’s Donor Relations department, helveticka provided design, lighting consulting, and installation services for both exterior and interior signage at the school’s new John & Joan Bollier Family Center for Integrated Science & Engineering (ISE). The facility, which opened to students last fall, is connected to the existing Herak Center, Hughes Hall, and PACCAR Center, enabling interactions between students and faculty of both the School of Engineering & Applied Science and the College of Arts & Sciences. Aluminum letters measuring two feet tall announce “John & Joan Bollier Center” on the north side of the building facing GU’s campus; the full name appears at the two primary entrances. Throughout the interior of the three-story, 82,000 SF building, signage indicates donor-sponsored study areas, classrooms, labs, and faculty offices, with sign specifications determined by donor gift amounts.
